BIO:
The Bus Drivers are a band backed by a world of experience, discipline, and talent. Featuring former members of Fivewise, Girl Gone Bad, The Boogie Monsters, and M.O.O.D., the band prides itself on putting on a spectacular show wherever they are playing. Mixing classic rock, blues rock, and a little bit of country music, the band's diverse song choices and often unique arrangements allow The Bus Drivers to have a little something for everyone. In addition, the professionalism and musicianship of the five members help separate The Bus Drivers from other bands on the scene.
In 2005, drummer Mike Keyes, bassist Joe O’Brien, singer/guitarist Jeff Przech (two time winner in the Hartford Advocate’s Grand Band Slam), and harmonica player Craig Struble started The Bus Drivers by turning their longtime musical friendship into a new project. The Bus Drivers started small, but worked hard to move up in the ranks and play some of the best venues in central Connecticut and up I-91 into Western Massachusetts and Vermont. The addition of Nano Sciucco on lead guitar in 2007 only strengthened the band’s lineup and stage show. When Struble left the band to join the up-and-coming Bronze Radio Return, The Bus Drivers added keyboardist Chris James. Also, The Bus Drivers occasionally perform live with female vocalist Jill O'Brien, adding an entirely different element to their performances.
The Bus Drivers are available as a full five-piece band all the way down to an acoustic duo, and all points in between. As an acoustic duo, The Bus Drivers were named Best Happy Hour/Duo Act in the Hartford Advocate’s 2007 & 2008 Grand Band Slam. They have over 700 songs in their repertoire and often perform an entire three sets based solely on audience requests. Though the typical duo lineup is Jeff & Nano, no matter which two members of TBD perform as a duo, audiences are guaranteed a vast array of songs, stellar musicianship, and solid harmony vocals.
As a full band, Mike’s ultra-tight drumming, Joe’s distinctively funky style on the bass, Jeff's powerful vocals and steady rhythm guitar, Nano’s fluent chops on lead guitar, and Chris' versatility on the keys make The Bus Drivers a solid band with stellar musicianship. The Bus Drivers also play frequently as a electric trio of Przech, O'Brien, and Keyes, allowing the band to expand on their setlist and experiment with newer material, especially when the band is fortunate enough to be joined by Jill O'Brien on vocals.
No matter which lineup appears, The Bus Drivers are a diverse and talented group of musicians, enabling them to cover an incredibly wide variety of artists, including everyone from The Rolling Stones to Johnny Cash, The Doors to The Allman Brothers Band, Steve Miller to Springsteen, Tom Petty to Toby Keith, and many more.
